With Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) just around the corner from December 4-10, 2017, many organizations are putting time and energy into creating fun and interactive Hour of Code resources to introduce youth to coding. Here are a few activities your student may enjoy this year...
- codeSpark Academy has two online Hour of Code activities: a fun puzzle with The Foos for beginner coders or friends can team up and learn basics with Snoopy’s Beagle Scouts in a fun and silly snowball fight!
- From Code.org and Microsoft, three online Minecraft-themed coding modules introduce various coding basics to students grade 2 and above.
- Have you ever noticed the whimsical and ever-changing Google logo called the Google Doodle? Using Scratch and videos from Google CS First, students can code their own Google logo.
