Robotics Classes

At YouthCode robotics classes, students age nine or above learn basic computer science and robotics concepts while programming computers with Scratch. All of our instructor-led robotics classes use the block-based programming language Scratch and robots designed specifically for education. All classes include instruction, unplugged activities and hands-on project time for students to apply their new knowledge and skills.

Robotics with Finch

In this 6-week introductory robotics class, students use Scratch and a Finch robot to learn basic concepts such as control, sensory feedback and information processing. {Prior Scratch experience required.}

There are currently no scheduled classes.

The Finch is manufactured by BirdBrain Technologies LLC under license from Carnegie Mellon University.
Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab and is available for free at scratch.mit.edu.

YouthCode is a program of Impacting The Next Generation Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
