Hour of Code

The Hour of Code is a global movement to introduce youth to computer science and coding through various one-hour workshops. Initiated by Computer Science Education Week and Code.org, Hour of Code has reached millions of students by making computer programming accessible.

At this free, family-friendly event, we welcome all individuals, ages 6 to 106, to be a student and receive an introductory experience with coding and computer science in a safe, supportive environment. Students chose themes of Minecraft, Moana or Star Wars for their hands-on project. Snacks and a completion certificate for each student are provided!

Hour of Code is also a great way to introduce students to coding and determine if a longer, structured class would be a good fit.
