Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) is an annual program dedicated to inspiring K-12 students to take interest in computer science. Code.orgĀ® organizes CSEdWeek with 350 partners and 100,000 educators worldwide. This year's CSEdWeek is December 4-10, 2017.

Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. Hour of Code workshops are simple and fun workshops that inspire learning to code. No coding experience is necessary.

YouthCode is part of this global movement. Through YouthCode Hour of Code workshopsindividuals ages 6 to 106 are welcome to receive an introductory experience with coding and computer science in a safe, supportive environment. This year during CSEdWeek, YouthCode will be conducting three workshops at locations in central Iowa.

And if any student wants to extend his or her computer science and coding experience beyond one hour, then check out YouthCode's schedule of Scratch coding classes. New eight-week classes will start in January.

YouthCode is a program of Impacting The Next Generation Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
